Questions:- I am 40yrs old and have 2 back injuries, one that happened when i was in my teens and the other in a car accident 4 years ago. My husband and i are considering having a child and carrying a baby for 9 months concerns me because my age and of my back pains. Can yoga really help me with my injuries and thru my pregnancy?

Answer:- Yes! Yoga will definitely be able to help you, and may probably be the safest way for you to decrease back pain over time. Yoga and Pilates will both be good resources to your practice in that they will both build muscle. As you ease into practicing Yoga, we would recommend taking Beginning Yoga classes because that way you can see what poses are more difficult and where pain is experienced so that we can help you modify the pose in a way that works best for you body. Many women who are pregnant attend Beginning Yoga classes at our studio. Yoga will actually provide for you many benefits with your back pain, but also as you reach the time of your pregnancy.
